Vaccinated travellers exempt from self-quarantine
Incoming travellers have since last summer been required to self-quarantine until receiving a negative result of their follow-up test six days after arrival.
But on 5 March, the government decided to waive this requirement for fully vaccinated travellers, and this exemption comes into force today.
Travellers are required to show proof that they have received the second shot no less than eight days prior to arrival in the country.
According to the latest figures from corona.fo, 4,129 people in the Faroes (7.8 percent of the total population) have now received both shots of the vaccine.
