Seven new Covid cases since Tuesday
There are currently 30 active Covid-19 cases in the country

Five people tested Covid positive yesterday and two on Wednesday, reports corona.fo.

Out of these seven cases, four are linked to known chains of infection, two tested positive in follow-up days after arriving from abroad and the infection source of one person remains unidentified.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 4, 9, 5, 2, 3, 2 and 5.

No-one is receiving hospital treatment for Covid, and 198 people are officially listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated yesterday, 37,106 people (69.5 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 35,140 (65.8 percent) have received the second shot.
