Airline and airport rescue plan underway
The Covid pandemic has brought the national airline and airport to their knees, and now the government is stepping in to help.
The final touches are now being put on a proposal for rescue capital to ensure the survival of the two state-owned companies.

The proposal, expected to reach Parliament next week, has received support from all political parties, according to finance minister Jørgen Niclasen.
Although he declines to elaborate further on this support, he insisted in Parliament yesterday that Atlantic Airways is here to stay.
The upcoming proposal also seeks to provide rescue capital for the airport, but this amount is significantly lower than that for the airline, adds the minister.
